A Quote on Realization (3 Day Quote Challenge #Day2)

I have been nominated by some of my dear blogger friends Shweta Dave, Kiran Acharya, Lata Subramanian, Sunaina Sharma and Simran Kaur for a 3 day quote challenge. Thanks to all :)

The second quote that I am sharing is from my second book, "The Hidden Letters". It is about how a late realization can affect our life.

Think about it. We often try to fool ourselves by baseless theories and flowery words and refuse to face the reality. However, acceptance is the only way to deal with life. We must accept things the way they are. By living in a cocoon, we will just dig our own graves. Because the day, realization would dawn upon us with all its vigor and compel us to open our eyes, we will find that the ship has already left the harbor...that things are out of our hands.

Therefore, accept things the way they are. Adapt yourself to the situation instead of fooling yourself. Try to work on the loose ends and if it doesn't work out, then move on.

Well, on my second day, I nominate one of my blogger friends to take up the challenge:

Sachin Prabhu

The rules are simple.

  1. Post a favorite quote of yours for 3 consecutive days,  obviously  a different quote each day from any book, any author of your choice. It could also be your own quote.
  2. Nominate 3 bloggers with each post to challenge them (As most of my blogger friends have already taken up the challenge, I am nominating 1 blogger each day)
  3. Thank the person who nominated you.

If you like the quote, then you will like the book too.

  4. True, Purba... that's why they call it wisdom in hindsight. But it need not be torture. Better to see it as learning!

  6. Sometimes people are in denial mode making the situation worse for themselves and others. The acknowledgement does not come easily perhaps either hoping the situation will turn in their favor or thinking they are still in control. Ya..in both cases it is a wasteful exercise not to see the truth as is. and the result could be tortuous many a times, I agree.

    1. I agree with each and every word of yours, Bushra. These are the exact reasons why we go in denial mode: hoping for a better tomorrow or thinking that we can control the situation.
      Rightly said, dear :)
