Separation!

Ever gazed at a crimson-orange leaf?
You can find plenty of them in autumn
Beautified by agony
Darkened by pain
The pain of separation
From its treasured home.

Ever watched a rain-washed desert?
You can see the longing in those sand grains
Soothed by rain
Pining for one last caress
The fear of separation
From its unpredictable healer.

Ever stared at the eyes of a bereft lover?
You can see a thousand emotions somersaulting
Whispering every unsaid word
Reciting the chapters of an incomplete story
The scars of separation
From its beloved counterpart.

    You've certainly captured the essence of separation Purba! One that is not verbalized but held within the person who suffers in silence not wanting to hurt further one so dear! Well penned!

    Purba, you have beautifully projected the intense pain felt in anticipation of separation and the feeling of loss post separation in the poem. After hearing the audio I found it hard to tell if your voice is more beautiful or your poem .

    Oh, you have such a beautiful voice! I do hope that you are using your voice / talents professionally. I liked the poem. You really should the similarity between the separations in nature and the separation that humans feel when they miss someone. Stunning work all around.

    It's so touching. I wonder how come you express such core feelings so smoothly and effectively.

    The poem has a soul - it tackles the sensitive subject of separation. But you have shown another aspect of it - the beautiful one, will be observing those if i've encountered one :)
