The crimson scar
Of profound misunderstandings
Languish in their hearts;
Yet the stench
Of longing
Refuses to fade.
The tiny nick
Formed by his venomous words and her cold silence
Could be stitched;
But their ignorance
Of sorts
Turned the nick into a dark pit.
The beautiful, lush garden
Of their rosy love
Is now overgrown with weeds;
Yet their vows
Of togetherness
Resonates at every full moon night.
