Scar of Misunderstandings

The crimson scar
Of profound misunderstandings
Languish in their hearts;
Yet the stench
Of longing
Refuses to fade.

The tiny nick
Formed by his venomous words and her cold silence
Could be stitched;
But their ignorance
Of sorts
Turned the nick into a dark pit.

The beautiful, lush garden
Of their rosy love
Is now overgrown with weeds;
Yet their vows
Of togetherness
Resonates at every full moon night.

The poem is written for Poets United Midweek Motif ~ Weeds/ Weediness

    1. I totally agree, Lata.
      People must try to talk out with each other whenever there is a problem but unfortunately, most people hardly have time to do so.

  3. What could I say on this awesome poem!

    Rahim says, riding through fire on a horse of wax,
    The path of love is this hard, not everyone succeeds. :)
