Try to read me once:
Unravel the metaphors
Sprinkled on my face;
The oxymoron I wear
Look for a rhyme in my eyes!

ReplyDeleteI wonder sometimes about faces. Some are easy to read; and some faces are hard to figure out. I like the idea of a 'rhyme in my eyes.' If I saw a rhyme in someone's eyes, I would think THAT is a happy person!

ReplyDeleteLovely tanka Purba. A poem is simple to read, a person is much more complex, so the efforts needed to read multiply. Rewards can be enriching though. :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem Purba :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tanka, Purba. Full of emotions! In this materialistic world, there's a tendency to use the person instead of reading his/her emotions. Loved it. :)
ReplyDeleteReminds me of someone wise who once said, it's difficult to truly understand a woman. Very beautifully penned, Purba!
