Books that I plan to Read in the Blogchatter Reading Challenge 2021 #TBRChallenge

"Books are the plane and the train and the road. They are the destination and the journey. They are home." ~ Anna Quindlen

When I saw The Blogchatter Reading Challenge 2021, I was super excited. Reading challenges keep me motivated and help me stay on track with my reading. They help me plan in advance the books that I want to read and savor.

One of the things that have made my life so much easier during this pandemic is my home library filled with beautiful books. I read some amazing books last year (both fiction & non-fiction) and I plan to read some great books this year too.

I have set the target of reading 30 books this year for the #TBRChallenge.

So here is a tentative list of some of the books that I plan to read.

1. The Archer by Paulo Coelho (I started reading this book on January 1. The book is filled with wisdom that can change one's perspective towards goals and targets.)

2. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (I am also reading this thriller which is addictive. This book has been on my wishlist for a long time. I am glad that I began reading it this month.)

3. The Forty Rules of Love by Elif Shafak (I am a crazy romantic and a follower of Rumi. So this is like a dream book that I plan to read on the month of love.)

4. Sherlock Holmes (I plan to read the remaining 2 novels that I haven't read and many more short stories of Sherlock Holmes this year.)

5. Agatha Christie (Novels of Agatha Christie are the perfect one-night fast-paced read. I wish to read a couple of Agatha Christie novels this year.)

6. To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf (I am so thankful to Blogchatter for gifting me this stream of consciousness narrative which I plan to read soon.)

7. 30 Women in Power by Naina Lal Kidwai (I am confident that this book will motivate me to fulfill all my goals this year. And I always enjoy reading about successful women)

8. Life's Amazing Secrets by Gaur Gopal Das (I have heard lots of good things about this book.)

9. The Journey Home by Radhanath Swami (I always wanted to read the autobiography of this American monk whose journey from Chicago to India is awe-inspiring)

10. Krishna - The Man and his Philosophy by Osho (I am excited to read about Lord Krishna's philosophy in this book)

11. The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald (A much loved classic that I would like to read this year)

12. Emma by Jane Austen (Another classic that I plan to read this year)

13. Vedanta Voice of Freedom by Swami Vivekananda (I started reading this empowering book last year.)

14. The Bhagavad Gita commentary by S.Radhakrishnan

14. Books that I want to re-read this year - The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda, The Monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma, Gitanjali by Tagore, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, and The Power of your Subconscious Mind by Dr.Joseph Murphy.

Obviously, there will be many more books to read this year. I believe that not only the reader chooses the book, sometimes the book also chooses the reader. So, I am looking forward to having a great reading journey in 2021.
