At the charcoal dark of night,
She realized she has lost her light;
With clammy eyes, she plucked out
Sunless, dried, rancid petals of
Envy from her heart
that had robbed her off many
Soul sisters for years
and kept them apart.
Her burden lightened
as she fell into slumber,
The sun rose in her heart
making her blossom overnight.

Usually we do not talk much about envy. But it can take away sleep. Thankfully your protagonist gets rid of it. Nice insightful poem.
