Linking with Poetry Pantry #415

  1. Purba, it is LOVELY to see you in the Pantry. YAY! I love this poem and can almost hear the leaf crunch of reading those old letters that were not sent. There is heartbreak somewhere in these lines. I hope you are well and happy and that your father is also well. SO lovely to see you and read you here!

  4. very interesting. i can hear the sound of footsteps on leaves...that sound is always sharp and alerting, adding to the signs of the oncoming season of autumn.

  6. What a sad poem that leave the reader to conjecture the words in the unsent letters (which of course I imagined would be love letters that would have be most welcome).

  7. A good close Purba! There are times when one gets side-tracked by other things and love takes a back-seat!

  10. The fall lends itself well to thoughts of regrets for the chances not taken. I like the way you worked the metaphor in this small piece.
