The Greatest Healer, Time

Dear girl, Stop!
Don't do that to yourself.
A couple of people might be cruel to you
You don't need to be cruel to yourself;
Look away from the arduous wounds,
Don't pinch or touch them
Let them be.
Have faith in the greatest healer, Time
The scars will evaporate like magic,
You won't even understand how and when.
Embrace yourself today!
Embrace life with all your love,
Breathe, Smile, Live!
Let the positive energy flow into your heart
Drop the baggage that robs you off life,
You are stronger than your wounds
Your life is much larger than your pain.
Have faith in the greatest healer, Time
Embrace yourself today!
Embrace life with all your love,
Breathe, Smile, Live!

  3. Yes, I think we really need to love ourselves first! We should be the most important person in our own lives. Hopefully, with time, pain goes away.....and is replaced by something even better than what was lost.

  4. Time is the greatest healer of all the wounds but it leaves scars. And you have to be brave enough to fight with time and to erase those scars. Every girl has that power to move the winds towards her good.

    1. Thank you so much, Gaurab. I wrote this poem with the sole motive that I can help atleast one person in distress. Your words made me feel that I can achieve the goal. After all, if my writing can provide solace to even one person, I would consider my writing to be fruitful. Thanks again for the lovely comment :)

  13. There is a beautiful and wise message in your poem, Purba. Your inner wisdom always amazes me, as I look at your photo, and remember you are young - but an Old Soul. This poem makes me think of a dear friend who is hurting, and wishing she could know your words are meant for her.

  14. Great advice not to poke and pick at and worsen the wounds. Even if the scars don't magically disappear, they can remind us of the wisdom with which we went on to embrace and love our selves.

  17. Now this is very good Purba. When young we are devastated with the smallest of hurts and disappointments. If we are lucky we soon realize that is all part of life and how we handle it can make us stronger and wiser.
