The palpable, mellifluous harmony
Spread all over the Nature
Is the symphony produced by unity;
A melody like mother's lullaby
Mother Nature smiles.
The calm sky, the beautiful breeze
The flowers, birds and butterflies
Never cross each other;
Look how pretty is their harmonious coexistence!
Mother Nature beams.
Between those civilized humans
Can you get the stench of disharmony?
Neither they are in sync with each other
Nor they are in sync with Nature
Mother Nature turns her face away.
Tears of grief, anger and despair exist
The smile of harmony is nowhere;
Disunity and discord mute off symphony
Making room for conflicts
Mother Nature weeps.

That' really sad but true.. :(
ReplyDeleteThis symphony of unity should be acknowledged and followed by the humans too.. I hope the mother nature always keeps smiling with your words :) Very well composed dear :)
Yes, dear. Wish we learn the meaning of unity from the elements of Nature around us. Thanks a ton :)
DeleteWe do indeed seem to spoil what is provided for us as a species...i hope however that there is hope and that unity exists even if not on a global scale
ReplyDeleteI hope the same, Jae :)

DeleteI wish the same, Sachin. It is such a pity that we are not in sync with each other/ Mother Nature. We are so self absorbed.
so shameful to be the cause of mother nature's grief...sigh...
ReplyDeleteTrue that! :\
DeleteYes. Mother Nature weeps at our disharmony. Your poem illustrates how beautifully the natural world cooperates with each other. We have so much to learn about unity and interdependence.
ReplyDeleteHope we learn it someday, Sherry. Then, there would be so much harmony between human beings and the world would seem heaven.
DeleteLiving in harmony is the goal! I love your poem.
ReplyDeleteExactly, Annell. Thanks a ton. Your poem made me speechless. Loved it :)

ReplyDeleteSo true that mother nature weeps. And unfortunately with good reason.
ReplyDeleteYes, Myrna :'(
DeleteI love the way that you use music - as a musician dissonance is as unsettilng as someone scratching the chalkboard. Agree Mother Nature has buckets of tears.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it :)

DeleteAhhh, yes - it makes you wonder we why have the cheek to call Nature 'uncivilised!' 💜
ReplyDeleteTrue that!
DeleteReading this was sheer ecstasy Purba... How beautifully you have expressed the inherent emotions of Mother Nature,... Totally spellbinding... Loved the symphony to the core! <3 Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much dear. So happy that you liked it. Hugs <3
DeleteThe picture is extremely uplifting!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteThe poem beautifully highlights the sore fact that discordance and disharmony due to differences have left mother nature weeping at most of the times. A very nice composition Purba.
ReplyDeleteYes Somali, Mother Nature have to bear the fooleries of humans. Thank you so much :)
DeleteA great environmental poem, push for change and you shall have itm
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
DeleteI just read panchali's - and you took a very similar route. I def have a huge appreciation of nature and how things coexist. This does not mean it is not violent at times. I mean animals eat each other every day, but there is a balance that exists in nature, where all are provided for. Sadly our differences far too often push us apart, and an appreciation for the different is not always there. I wonder what we are trying to justify by always feeling we need to defend ourselves at the expense of others.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you!
DeleteBeautiful image depicting the harmony of nature.
ReplyDeleteAmazing lines....sad but true!! The creative powers of Mother Nature is not too difficult for us to comprehend...if only we could learn to appreciate the laws of nature. Love this, Purba. So well penned.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Panchali. Hope we learn someday :)
DeleteHarmony is one concept that eludes us. We are so messed up that bringing discord soothes our senses, and sadly so. Moving poem, Purba.
ReplyDeleteRightly said, Saru! We are so chaotic.
DeleteThanks :)
I think nature has its own unity. It is only humans who create disunity and disharmony! There is so much contrast between your first two stanzas and your last.
ReplyDeleteExactly, Mary.
DeleteAh. It's saddening. I like the progression of the last line from stanza to stanza. Well-penned.
ReplyDelete-HA
Thank you so much :)

DeleteAwesome personification babe....its because there is no vested interest each is happy and content in what they have...only when greed creeps ....there is disharmony...and its rested only with us humans. nice write up!
